I’ve worked as a computer systems engineer in a career spanning two decades. During this time I’ve worked for aerospace companies, and an aerospace startup in South Korea as well as embedded software for commercial businesses. Some years ago I had to stop work due to a health condition that took 5 years to diagnose! Eventually I was diagnosed with an ‘upper respiratory’ problem that was affecting my breathing and oxygen levels, and had corrective surgery. At the time of writing this, the surgery has made a huge difference, but I’m on the waiting list for follow-up surgery that will hopefully fully correct the problem. The actual process of waiting for surgery and recovery has taken another year!
While all this was ongoing, I ‘ve moved from Sydney to Melbourne; my wife and I bought a house; I started up a tutoring business and I developed a fascination with technical Minecraft; My wife and I also run an Airbnb, consisting of a self-contained guest suite with kitchenette and en-suite, in our home in Truganina, VIC. (Look us up on Airbnb if you like.)
Right now I’m considering my options. I’m definitely open to offers of employment and will provide a resume on request.
